A man, aged in his 20s, is to appear in Nenagh District Court today after being detained on the train at Templemore on Friday evening shortly before 7pm. A passenger on the train alerted Garda after observing another passenger with a gun. Local uniform and plainclothes Gardaí initially attended and were assisted by the Regional Armed Support Unit. The suspect was searched and found to be in possession of what is believed to be an imitation firearm subject to technical examination. Garda say their investigations are ongoing.
