A young man died in Thurles in an incident on the railway line at approximately 7.30am Saturday morning. The man is named locally as Corey Moore a popular member of Durlas Og and Peake Villa in recent years and a former student at Thurles CBS. Mr Moore’s funeral arrangements have now been confirmed for Wednesday and Thursday – Reposing in Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on Wednesday, 19th July, from 5pm to 7pm. Arriving at the Church of SS Joseph & Brigid, Bothar na Naomh, Thurles, on Thursday, 20th July, at 9.30am for Requiem Mass at 10am, followed by Private Family Cremation Service in Shannon Crematorium at 1pm.
The death was the fourth death by train last week – a woman died near Ballybrophy on Sunday July 9th and two people died on the DART lines in Dalkey and Malahide during the week.
