Disruptions to water supply in West Tipperary are likely in the coming 24 – 48 hours as Uisce Eireann is advising that a water treatment plant interruption may cause supply disruptions to Rossadrehid, Lisvernane, Aherlow, Emly, Bansha, Kilmoyler, Limerick Junction, Lattin, Cullen, Cashel Town, Rosegreen, New Inn, West of Fethard Town and surrounding areas.
This news follows the issuing of a Boil Water Notice on the Galtee Regional Scheme today due to poor quality of raw water available for treatment and distribution due to heavy rainfall.
Repair works are now scheduled to take place until 8pm on 15 July.
Uisce Eireann says that details of alternative water supplies will be provided later today.
