Residents in several areas supplied by Ardfinnan Water Supply Scheme will face outages this evening as repair works are undertaken at the water Treatment Plant. The works are scheduled to take place from 9pm today until 7am tomorrow. Areas affected include Rathkeevin, Barn Demesne, Chancellorstown Upper and Lower, Newchapel, Drishogue, Lavally Lower, Ballingarrane, Gortmore, Patrickswell, Garryroe, Lawlesstown, Giantsgrave, Monksgrange, Knocklofty, Loughtally, Lisnamuck Carraguan, Cuckoohill, Kilmaloge, Loughlohery, Newtownadam, Kilmurry, Moorstown, Derrygrath Lower, Nicholastown, Summerhill, Ardfinnan and surrounding areas.
Uisce Eireann is advising customers to allow 2 – 3 hours for supply to fully return once the repairs have been completed. A Boil Water Notice was put in place on the Supply on Friday July 7th due to the heavy rainfall affecting the raw water taken into the treatment plant. This Notice to Boil the water before consumption remains in effect for now.
