A Fine Gael councillor is calling for a wall to be built between two housing estates in Cashel to help combat anti-social behaviour.
Michael Fitzgerald believes that a walk way between Oliver Plunkett Park and Rock View was never meant to exist under the planning conditions as the wall should have been built there in the first place.
The Golden based Councillor says some residents from Oliver Plunkett Park have expressed concern around noise, and illegal dumping including needles and broken glass on the walkway.
There’s currently no funds to close the walkway however the council are committed to looking into erecting a fence however, Cllr Fitzgerald believes a wall is necessary as a fence was originally there and was forcibly removed.
