As the Special Olympics in Berlin continues local woman Mary Kate Martin will compete in the Singles Bowling Competition today.
Earlier this week Mary Kate and partner Andrew Bergin from the Eastern Region finished 5th in the Doubles Competition. The Irish team won a silver medal in the Team event but Mary Kate was not a member of the team – only four of the 6 Irish bowlers took part in the team event.
Declan Foley, a student at Scoil Aonghusa in Cashel and from Carrick on Suir is competing in the Equestrian event at the Special Olympics in Berlin. Declan features in a video compiled by team Ireland. The Games will conclude on Sunday.
