The Department of Rural and Community Development is providing one million euros in funding for 122 Agricultural shows across the country.
The record single investment in Agricultural Shows represents a 40 per cent increase on last year’s allocation.
The grants are intended to support Show committees in staging their events over the summer season.
Three Shows in County Tipperary are to share a total of €27,045. The Clonmel Show on July 2nd receives almost €10,000, The North Tipperary Agricultural Show in Nenagh on August 7th is allocated €8,525 and the Bansha Show set for August 23rd is awarded €8,525.
