Tipperary County Council is reminding those organising Culture night events that the closing date for funding support applications is noon on Friday June 23rd.

Culture Night is an annual all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts.

It will take place on Friday 22nd September, 2023 from 4pm till late.

The Council in collaboration with the Arts Council is making grant aid of up to €500 available.

Organisers are asked to be imaginative in selecting venues and all forms of Cultural events are encouraged ranging from live music, book readings, film screenings, walking tours to multicultural celebrations.

Events must be free to the public.

Funding applications can be made by downloading an application form from this link here. Alternatively email [email protected] or phone the Arts Office at 0818 06 5000

The Council says priority will be given to events that fulfil two of an established list of criteria –

Support the making of work by artists based in Tipperary, Align with the aims of Culture Night, Make Culture Night visible in the county by using an unlikely venue or public setting, Encourage participation in a new part of town or the county, Implement The Arts Council ‘Paying the Artist’ Policy, Run later in the night in order to extend the Culture Night experience, Diversify the offering to attract and reach new audiences and Ensure that funding allocation achieves a good geographic spread across the county
