Huge crowds are expected in Tipperary Town on Sunday June 18th as the Tipperary Vintage Rally Group hold their Vintage Rally and Family fun day on the Limerick Road.
This year sees a Summer date for the event which was held at Easter time in previous years. The group will continue to hold their Honda 50 Bike Run on Easter Saturday in 2024 but the June date for the Fun day and Vintage display is a permanent move. The group is dedicated to helping others and all funds raised on the day will be donated to the South Tipperary Hospice. The Group also want the public to know that all funds raised will be retained in Tipperary to support the work of the Hospice service despite a recent change that will see the HSE fund the wages and salaries of the nurses involved.
The public can attend from noon on Sunday until approximately 4pm. The event will feature displays of vintage vehicles, military equipment, a hospice marquee, vintage traders, children’s entertainment and a dog show. Registration for the dog show begins at 1pm with the show itself beginning at 2pm. There are 8 categories including one for retired greyhounds. Local businesses are welcoming parking at their car parks and the organisers are also acknowledging support from their main sponsor, Supermacs.
