Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for county Tipperary. The warning also includes counties Limerick, Laois, Offaly, Clare, all of Connacht and Westmeath.
Met Éireann is forecasting localised showers with heavy downpours, thunderstorms, gusty winds and a chance of hail.
The downpours could lead to localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.
The warning comes into effect at 3pm today and is valid until 9pm this evening.
