511

An information session is planned for Clonmel on June 29th to support people working or volunteering in the Community and Voluntary sector in county Tipperary.  The free in person event is being delivered by Diarmaid O’Corrbui from Carmichael Ireland –  a leading specialist training and support body for non-profits in Ireland.

The event is intended to update those involved in proposed amendments to the Charities Act 2009.  The legislative changes are intended to  improve the ability of the Charities Regulator to conduct its statutory functions, ensuring more proportionate regulation leading to greater public trust and confidence in the charities sector. There are over 11,500 registered charities in Ireland.

The event is scheduled to begin at 11am on June 29th and is expected to have a duration of less than 2 hours. The Talbot Hotel in Clonmel is the venue.

The Tipperary Volunteer Centre is hosting the event and places can be booked at this link here. Further information is also available from the tipperaryvolunteercentre.ie website.
