The Bishop’s walk in Cashel is to be officially opened at 5.15pm today.
Cathaoirleach Roger Kennedy, a Cllr in the Tipperary Cahir Cashel District, will perform the official opening.
The ceremony will take place in the Main Street Car park at the back of the Cashel Palace Hotel.
The new walk will improve linkage between the Rock of Cashel and the centre of Cashel town.
It is hoped that a greater number of people will visit the town and that the town can benefit economically from the appeal of the Rock of Cashel to tourists.
Almost 279,000 people visited the iconic heritage site in 2022.
In addition the walk provides an additional walking amenity in the town.
