Tipperary University Hospital is asking the community to consider all care options before attending the Emergency Department(ED).
Hospital General Manager Maria Barry says patients attending the ED are prioritised on need of urgent emergency care.
Ms Barry posted a list of reasons to attend the ED and asked that people would consider other care providers this weekend.
The list posted says EDs deal with life threatening emergencies.
