Blood Transfusion Service Appealing For Donations This Week

The Blood Transfusion service is appealing for donations this week. Supplies of blood types O and A, positive and negative, and also blood type B positive are low with 2 to 4 days’ supply on hand.

There is a clinic in Clonmel this week for 4 days – Monday to Thursday. Clinic times today are 4.50pm to 8.40pm and for the next three days the clinic will have afternoon donation sessions from 2.30pm until 4.50pm and again later from 7.50pm until 9.10pm. The clinic will be held at the Hotel Minella, Coleville Road, Clonmel.  This is an appointment based clinic and blood donors are asked to call 1800 731 137 to book an appointment.

A blood donation clinic will be held in Nenagh on Tuesday and Wednesday this week at the Scouts Hall on Ashe Road, Nenagh. This is also an appointment clinic. Donors are asked to call 1800 222 111 to book an appointment. The clinic in Nenagh will run from 4.50pm until 8.10pm on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  Further information can be found on the giveblood.ie website.
