Cllr Kennedy Raises Concerns About Speeding On Two Cashel Streets

Speeding on two streets in Cashel continues to cause concern to Tipperary Councillors.

Cllr Roger Kennedy submitted a motion calling for 30km/h speed limit signs to be installed on Cathal Brugha and McCann streets to improve safety in the area.

The matter was before yesterday’s meeting of the Tipperary Cahir Cashel Municipal District Council.

Cllr Kennedy says he is delighted to see that the signs are already installed but says the speeding is continuing.

The area is close to a building site which is adding to the traffic volume and additional traffic at school times is also causing congestion and delays.

Cllr Kennedy thanked the Council for installing the signs but says his concerns remain as there is a high volume of traffic and many drivers are not complying with the speed limit in place.
