Tipperary County Council has announced the next phase of the new Residential Zoned Land Tax, aimed at unlocking more land for homes. The council has now published a Supplemental Map, which identifies additional lands, zoned for residential or mixed use, which may be subject to this tax. The new tax becomes payable in February 2024 at an applicable rate of 3% of the Market Value of the land. Landowners can make submissions until June 1st if they wish to have their land rezoned, excluded or included in the maps as appropriate.
