The major initiative is designed to support and reward communities that have welcomed families from Ukraine.

The funds will allow for the development of community infrastructure and facilities specifically targeted at projects located in communities, towns and villages that are hosting the beneficiaries of Temporary Protection.

28 local organisations are to benefit including Knockavilla / Donaskeigh Kickhams GAA who will use the allocation of €100,000 to complete refurbishment of existing club rooms with a small extension to provide additional space to cope with expected additional demand while Dundrum Community Hall will get 140,000 euro to fit out the hall with chairs, a disabled toilet, storage space such as an insulated container or a Log Cabin for storing chairs

and smaller events and Tipperary Town Revitalisation CLG are allocated €55,000 for a Community Bus for Thurles to Tipperary Town, which would provide free transport to community groups.
