Tipperary County Council is to provide a day long Sustainable Gardening Course to celebrate National Biodiversity Week. This course will be run by horticulturist and environmentalist, Aoife Munn and will cover topics such as pond building, plant selection to support biodiversity, using peat free compost, growing vegetables and pruning plants. The installation of a small pond can significantly increase the biodiversity in an area.
The course will take place on Sunday 28th of May from 10am to 4pm in Cabragh Wetlands, Thurles.
The training is considered suitable for anyone who wants to improve their area for biodiversity but is particularly of interest to Tidy Towns Groups, Residents groups and Green Schools Coordinators.
Places on the free course can be booked at the following link here and early booking is advised as places are limited.
