Knockavilla Community Hall is to host the AGM of Tipperary County Council in June. The location was confirmed at yesterday’s meeting of Tipperary County Council. The AGM will be the final meeting in the role of Cathaoirleach for Cllr Roger Kennedy, a member of the Tipperary Cahir Cashel MD.
The meeting is to be held on June 30th and a new Cathaoirleach and Leas Cathaoirleach will be elected by the 40 members of Tipperary County Council. The next Cathaoirleach is likely to be a Fine Gael councillor given the voting pact in place between Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil. Local elections are due to be held in May 2024 and all 40 councillors in the county will be contesting their seats at that time.
