Garda assisted with a road traffic collision at Barronstown Cross earlier this morning.
The incident occurred shortly before 7am this morning. No injuries are reported and there is no disruption to traffic on the route as of now.
The damaged vehicles have been removed from the scene. It is understood that the collision involved a car and a van.
The junction, situated on the N24 is the subject of repeated calls for safety measures by local residents.
Tipperary County council says the junction is not currently a High Collision Location (HD15) as defined by Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
There are currently 17 (HD15) High Collision Locations in Tipperary which are a higher priority for treatment / improvement.
