Cork Racecourse Mallow has appointed Eoghan O’Grady as Racecourse Manager.

Mr O’Grady takes up his new role with immediate effect as Andrew Hogan moves to Tipperary Racecourse ahead of a major redevelopment at the track.

A former amateur rider, Eoghan O’Grady  held a trainer’s licence from 2005 to December of 2022.

Chairman of Cork Racecourse Mallow, Tom Gaffney, wished Andrew Hogan continued success in delivering the major plans at Tipperary Racecourse.  A planning application for the construction of an all weather racecourse at the Tipperary Racecourse outside Tipperary town is currently with An Bord Pleanála with a decision due no later than March 2024.

Uisce Eireann is giving advance notice of repairs works in Tipperary town next week.  The works, which are part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme will cause supply disruptions to Bridge Street, Tipperary Town and surrounding areas.

The work is due to commence at 7pm on Monday April 24th and be completed by 1am on Tuesday April 25th.

The repair work will cause some traffic disruption and a traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works on Bridge Street.
