Tipperary Comhairle na nÓg Members Attend National Showcase

Fifteen members of Tipperary Comhairle na nÓg recently attended the National Showcase at Croke Park. 

In all, over five hundred young people involved in Comhairle na nÓg across the country gathered at Croke Park stadium on Tuesday April 4th to showcase and celebrate their wide range of achievements. The National Showcase is a biannual event that highlights the work of the members of Comhairle na nÓg and how young people have had their voices heard on policies, services and issues that impact on their lives.


An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Minister Roderic O’Gorman and government officials addressed the large gathering of young people as well as reaffirming their commitment to ensuring they are listening to the important issues discussed and raised by them. An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar says the enthusiasm and commitment of the young people involved is a cause for great hope for the future of the country.

Comhairle na nÓg, operating in each county including Tipperary, is a  local youth council  for members aged between 12-18 that gives young people a voice on the development of local policies and services.
