The Heritage Council is providing two training days in respect of Heritage Week events. The training is aimed at people organising events for Heritage Week – scheduled for August 12th to 20th this year. The training is provided free of charge and is available in Clonmel on Thursday April 20th and in Tullamore on April 27th.
The day long training will deal with issues such as supports available, devising events, targeting audiences and new audiences and promoting the event. The training also includes sessions on how events can be devised that are suitable for children and how themes of water heritage and sustainability can be included in a programme of events. The Talbot Hotel in Clonmel is the venue for the session on Thursday April 20th. Registration details are available on the Heritage Week website at this link here.
