St Michael’s street in Tipperary town was left in darkness last night as all of the street lighting failed. Tipp Mid West Radio is awaiting a response from Tipperary County Council as to the cause of the fault. The only lighting on the street last night was provided by the Belisha Beacons at the pedestrian crossing close to Rosanna Road.
A number of street lights in the town are not working and delays in having repairs completed promptly has been raised at council meetings in recent weeks. Several lights in the Market Yard area of Tipperary town have been out of order since before Christmas.
