Several local restaurants have received multiple nominations for this year’s Restaurant Awards.
The Competition is run by the Restaurants Association of Ireland and the county winners will be revealed at an event to be held in the Strand Hotel, Limerick on Wednesday March 8th.
Regional and All Ireland Winners are then revealed at the All-Ireland Awards Gala Dinner on Monday, 15th May 2023 in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road.
The competition is made up of 17 Main Award categories and 4 National Award categories and there are 2 brand-new award categories this year– Innovator of the Year and Learning & Development.
The awards include Best Chef, Best Cocktail Experience, Best Restaurant Manager, Local Food Hero amongst others – full details of all categories can be found here.
Local contenders include the Shamrog Bistro, Kickham House, Flanagan’s Lane Café, Bakery & Deli, Ballykisteen House, Aherlow House Hotel, and The Junction Gastro Bar & Guest House.
There are also many other restaurants across the county nominated for the 2023 Awards.
As the entire team from the Junction Gastro Bar & Guest house are attending the event in Limerick on Wednesday night the business advises that it is taking last orders at 4pm.
