The Tipperary Association in Dublin has selected Padraic Maher as it’s Person of the year for 2022. Padraic, enjoyed a hugely successful hurling career winning seven county titles with Thurles Sarsfields and three All Irelands with Tipperary. He retired from hurling in 2022 due to medical advice. He is now part of the management team alongside team Manager, Liam Cahill, with the Tipperary Senior Hurling team.
The Association is also to honour Tim Floyd from Newport by inducting him into the Tipperary Association Hall of Fame for his contribution to Gaelic Games in the county. Mr Floyd served as county secretary of the Tipperary Board for 17 years and retired last year. During his time in office he led the development of the County Draw and the development of Dr Morris Park in Thurles.
