Glen of Aherlow Caravan & Camping Park has been honoured for the excellent facility and service it provides. It was runner up in the Small Campsite Category narrowly losing out to a Small Campsite in Switzerland in the Campsite Awards 2022. The owners George and Rosaline Drew say they are “truly honoured” to receive the accolade. They travelled to Birmingham for the awards ceremony hosted by Caravan and Motorhome Club and Alan Rogers Guides & Travel.
The Alan Rogers Guides have been in operation since 1968 inspecting and selecting the Best Campsites. The facility also includes tent pitches and self-catering houses. The campsite offers woodland walks, accessible from the Park, which is also a superb area for bird watching and rambling and provides wonderful views and access to the Galtee slopes and corrie lakes.
