Members of the wider community are invited to attend an event at the Abbey School Tipperary town next week as part of Abbey Wellbeing Week 2023.
The event will take place on Tuesday February 28th and will involve the students receiving a presentation from Mr. John Lonergan (Tipperary man and former Governor of Mountjoy Prison) on areas such as crime, drugs, violence, decision making, along with emphasising the importance of sleep, diet, exercise, p, etc. This will take place during the normal school timetable.
In the evening, at 7.30pm on the 28th February, parents are invited to attend a presentation on similar areas from their perspective in dealing with young people. The parent presentation is open to all parents in the local community. The event will be held in the Abbey School PE Hall and all are welcome for this event which is sure to be very informative and engaging.
