Emergency services are responding to an accident in the Tipperary town area – the incident occurred shortly before 9am. The incident occurred on the Dundrum road involving two cars and the road is closed approximately one mile from Tipperary town. One person has been taken to hospital with what are thought to be non life threatening injuries. The cars are thought to have collided bumper to bumper and not head on. Drivers are asked to avoid this route if possible until the site is cleared.
Tipperary Garda station say their initial report of a second incident in the Bansha area was not accurate and there is only one incident which is being managed by Tipperary Fire Service and council staff.
