Extended opening hours will commence at Tipperary Town Library from this week.
The library will now offer a late evening opening on Tuesday evening until 8pm.
The library hours will now be Monday to Friday 9.30am until 5pm on 4 days and the Tuesday hours will be from 9.30am until 8pm.
The library is also open through lunch time. The library in Tipperary town is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
In addition, Tipperary town Library is now providing Induction Training for library users to use the My Open Library facility.
This allows Library users over the age of 18 to use the library at times when it is normally closed by using a special code to gain entry.
My Open Library is designed to make the facility more widely available and not just at times when staff are on duty.
Those interested in registering for the induction training are asked to call 052 6166126.
There is no charge to join the public Library and members can also access materials using the BorrowBox app which incorporates a dedicated eBook reader and eAudiobook player.
There are 12 branches in all located at Borrisokane, Cahir, Carrick on Suir, Cashel, Clonmel, Cloughjordan, Killenaule, Nenagh, Roscrea, Templemore, Thurles and Tipperary town.
