Planning for a St Patrick’s Day Parade in Tipperary Town took a step forward on Friday when a committee to be chaired by John O’Heney was put in place following a public meeting.
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in conjunction with Tipperary Chamber of Commerce will be held on Friday the 17th of March 2023.
The Group is inviting all local clubs, societies, voluntary organisations, businesses and schools to participate.
For schools that are participating an optional Theme of Biodiversity/Recycling has been decided upon.
Any group interested in taking part is asked to contact the St Patrick’s Day Tipperary Facebook page or a committee member by Friday Feb 17th.
Paula Maher is the committee secretary, Sinead O’Dwyer the treasurer and PRO is Josephine Carroll.
The next meeting is to be held on February 8th in Roches Bar and all are welcome to attend. .
No time has been set as of now for the Tipperary parade – it is thought some towns may decide to hold their parades over the weekend of March 17th.
Cahir St Patrick’s Day parade will also be held on Friday March 17th stepping off at noon led by the CJ Kickham Band
