A Clonmel car dealership has emerged as the Tipperary Zero Vehicles Emissions Ireland (ZEVI), EV Dealership of the Year Award.
These awards recognise and reward excellence in the promotion and sales of electric vehicles in Ireland.
Barlo Hyundai will now represent Tipperary in the Regional Awards – which will be announced at this year’s Society of the Irish Motor Industry Annual Dinner taking place on Thursday, 16th of February 2023.
The overall winner will be announced at the SEAI Energy Show in March.
Barlo Hyundai distributes the IONIQ5 model which was voted World Car of the Year and World Electric Car of the Year for 2022.
Car dealers competed through a mystery shopping exercise where they were scored on a number of factors including how visible EVs were in the showroom, how knowledgeable their salespeople were on EVs, and their sales approach.
Other evaluation areas included EV training, sales trends and the dealership’s website.
Ireland’s Climate Action Plan 2021 includes a target of having 945,000 electric vehicles in the Irish fleet by 2030.
