The Cashel Palace Hotel is to be included in the Michelin Guide for it’s Bishops Buttery Restaurant.
The 2023 awards will take place at a launch event to be held at the Silverstone Racing Circuit in Northamptonshire, on Monday 27th March.
On that occasion it will be revealed, if, in addition to being included in the digital listing as published yesterday, they have been awarded stars, green stars for sustainability, or bib gourmands for value for money.
Michelin has cited the restaurant’s ambience and surroundings as a huge win, as well as sublime cooking and commitment to using local produced ingredients.
In particular, the Michelin Guide recommends dessert from Bishop’s Buttery, saying their apple and caramel is a must-try.
The second Munster addition is Terre at Castlemartyr Resort which is tipped for at least one Michelin star this year.
12 Irish restaurants have been added to the guide since Michelin began its latest round of inspections, in March last year.
Ireland currently has four restaurants with two Michelin stars: Aimsir in Co Kildare, Chapter One, Liath and Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud all in Dublin.
