A major fundraising event is to be held in Rosegreen this weekend.
The event in aid of the National Rehabilitation Hospital will feature a truck, tractor car and bike run on Sunday January 8th.
The event will begin from the Raceway and the organisers are very grateful for the use of the Raceway which can accommodate 600 vehicles – registration is from 11am and the event is expected to begin at 12.30pm.
The run will end in the village with parking available in Marty Bergin’s Yard (by kind permission).
Drivers in the area are asked to be mindful of the extra traffic in the area.
The event is organised by Rosegreen Community and the Coolmoyne & Moyglass Vintage Club – their first since 2017.
The community chose the NRH as the beneficiary due to several members of the local community receiving care at the Dun Laoghaire facility.
In some cases, it was patients recovering from accidents and in other cases care was provided for stroke victims.
The event will also include a raffle and refreshments at the Community Centre when the tractor run concludes.
The final part of the event features an auction at 4pm in Dansies public house.
