Tipperary County Council Encourages Public To Properly Dispose Of Christmas Trees

Tipperary County Council is encouraging people to properly dispose of their Christmas Trees.  Real Christmas trees can be dropped off for recycling free of charge at a nine locations around the county from today (January 3rd)  until Saturday January 14th. A new drop off location has been put in place for Thurles – trees can be dropped off at the Town Park carpark near the Source Arts Centre. Trees should be left in the car park opposite the unused farm building.

The full list of venue accepting trees during opening hours are as follows

Waller’s-Lot Recycling Centre Cashel

Donohill Recycling Centre, Tipperary

County Council Depot Cahir Business Park, Cahir

Clonmel Recycling Centre Carrigeen, Clonmel

Fair Green Car Park Carrick- on- Suir

Nenagh Recycling Centre, Nenagh

Roscrea Recycling Centre, Roscrea

Templemore Town Park, Templemore

Town Park, Car Park, Thurles (opposite Farm Building)

Only real Christmas trees can be accepted and all decorations and lights should be removed in advance. The trees will be mulched and used for horticultural purposes in public spaces.
