435

A Boil Before Use notice remains in  effect for the Fethard Regional Public Water Supply – the notice was first issued on December 24th to protect public health.

The notice has been put in place due to issues at the Fethard Regional Water Treatment Plant, affecting the treatment and disinfection process.  Approximately 6,700 people in Cloneen, Mullinahone, Drangan, Killenaule, Moyglass, Ballinure, Ballynonty, Glengoole, Gortnahoe and surrounding areas are affected by the notice. The Fethard town area is not under this Boil Water Notice as it is supplied from an adjacent supply. Customers can contact Irish water on 1 800 278 278 to check if their property is included or can enter their Eircode on the water.ie website to check if their supply is included in the Boil Before Use Notice.
