The Cathaoirleach of Tipperary County Council Councillor Roger Kennedy has opened a Book of Condolence to allow the people of Tipperary to express their sympathies to the family of the late Private Seán Rooney, R.I.P.
The soldier died in Lebanon last week when the two vehicle convoy he was travelling in came under attack. Private Rooney was buried yesterday with full military honours at All Saints Catholic Church, Colehill, Donegal.
The Book of Condolence is open online at https://www.tipperarycoco.ie/forms/book-condolence-private-sean-rooney and all Council office buildings including the offices of Tipperary Cahir Cashel Municipal District on Rosanna Road, Tipperary town.
