Over 18% of people in the mid-west region which included Co. Tipperary are choosing to work from home.
That’s according to the Central Statistics Office data which shows aged over 15 ‘usually’ spend over half of their week working from home.
There now 10 percent more employees carrying out their job role at home in the region compared to pre-covid.
In 2019, only 8.4 percent were working away from the workplace however a small percentage have returned back to the workplace post pandemic.
Nationally over 2.5 million people are employed in the country, an increase of just under 10 percent from 2019.
