Many parts of West Tipperary are experiencing an average temperature of minus -8C this morning.
The Premier County along with 15 other counties are currently under a status orange low temperature and ice warning.
Motorists are being advised to reduce their speed, keep a well-distance from the vehicle in front and avoid sharp breaking.
The county will enter a Status Yellow – Ice warning at 12 noon today which will be valid for 24 hours.
This warning could bring further icy conditions in some areas along with ome of the showers overnight turning to sleet and possibly snow.
