Firefighters in Tipperary are being issued with new fire kits and PPE. Tipperary Fire and Rescue Service says the new firefighting suits are a distinctive gold colour, which were chosen following a lengthy tendering, selection and practical assessment process by the council. The suits are Kermel Core Fire Suits and offer the very latest in technical solutions and ergonomic designs and are constructed with new technology which withstands double flashover testing. Fire burns at temperatures ranging between 1,100° and up to 3000° F (1093.3° C) or higher.
