Tipperary County Council are hosting a number of “drop in clinics” regarding the Commercial Rates Early Payment Scheme 2023. Councillors recently voted to increase rates by 5% but are offering a 6% discount for ratepayers who can pay their rates by July 31st. The scheme is open to rate payers with a rates demand of less than €26,000. Ratepayers currently in arrears can avail of the scheme if they put a payment plan in place to deal with arrears. If a rate payer puts direct debit facility in place to pay their rates “early” this will be implemented from April to September – giving the payer a little longer to pay.
All ratepayers have been contacted directly with details of the clinics.
