Parish halls and Community Centres are being encouraged to avail of funding support for their energy bills. The scheme is being administered by the Community and Enterprise section of Tipperary County Council.
The Community Enhancement Programme is offering grants of between €500 and €2500 depending on the number of applications received. Similar to last year’s scheme community groups can apply for grants to help cover running costs and/or to carry out small upgrade works and to purchase equipment to support their activity. Tipperary County council are expecting to formally open the scheme for applications before Christmas and close it in mid to late January.
The grant will cover energy/operating/costs incurred in the period 1st January 2022 to 31st December 2022. Applicants will need proof of expenditure and are now being advised to compile invoices and bank statements to support their claim.
Further details will be updated on the council website and via the Tipperary Public Participation Network in the coming days.
