Tipperary Cahir Cashel District Council is providing extensive financial supports to the community for Christmas related events.
Earlier this year funding of €7,000 each was allocated to Tipperary, Cahir and Cashel to purchase new LED Christmas lights.
Grants of €5,000 to each town is approved to cover the costs of erecting/taking down Christmas Lights and the related energy bill.
In addition, €13,300 is being allocated to Christmas related events in Cahir, Cashel and Tipperary town under initiatives funded by the Community and Enterprise section of the Council.
A further €8,050 is earmarked for Christmas Festival evens under the Festival Grants Scheme.
The Council is also delivering special parking arrangements for the month of December which vary from town to town.
In Tipperary town there will be free car parking in all public car parks and two hours free on street parking between 9am and 6pm for the entire month.
In Cashel there will be free car parking on Saturdays in the public car parks.
In Cahir there will be free car parking in public car parks on Saturdays. The town already offers two hours free on street parking every day.
