Tipperary Roads Policing Units Set Up Additional Checkpoints This Week

Tipperary Roads Policing Unit are continuing to carry out checkpoints across the county. Yesterday the Unit detected a number of offences while conducting checkpoints with the Road Safety Authority in the Templemore area. A Learner Permit driver was found to be driving unaccompanied. Three trucks were found to have excessively worn tyres. Two truck drivers were driving without a valid Certificate of Professional Competence. A driver in Roscrea was found to be driving a car without insurance or a valid NCT or motor tax. This car was seized and as with the other drivers court proceedings will now follow.
