Thurles Lions Trust Housing Association CLG are encouraging those interested in downsizing in the area to make contact with them.
The organisation wants to determine if there’s the demand for a housing scheme of one- and two-bedroom homes in the town that would be designed for the “older” one- and two-person household.
Project Co-ordinator John McCormack says if there appears to be sufficient demand the next step will be to examine how such a development could be delivered
Mr McCormack says it could be a win-win situation for those wanting to downsize and free out homes for families.
