The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) reports that four Closure Orders were served on food businesses during the month of October for breaches of food safety legislation including a business in Clogheen county Tipperary.
The Closure Orders were issued by Environmental Health Officers in the Health Service Executive – the other 3 businesses were in Dublin. Panda Chinese Take Away, Main Street, Clogheen, was closed after an inspection on October 24th found evidence of the “premises not being kept clean and maintained in a good repair and condition.”
Details of the report are available on the fsai.ie website.
The closure order was subsequently lifted on November 2nd. A Closure Order is served where it is deemed that there is or there is likely to be a grave and immediate danger to public health at or in the premises; or where an Improvement Order is not complied with.
