ESB networks staff are working to restore power across the country following the impact of strong winds earlier today.
The winds were measured at gale force with storm force gusts at times.
A new outage reported at 3.45pm is impacting 205 customers between Tipperary Town and Golden. This power is expected to be restored at 7.30pm this evening. At present outages remain for 36 customers in Kilshanney, near Kilbehenney – ESB Networks expects to have power restored for these customers by 4.30pm.
In the Cappamore area there are two faults reported that have caused power loss to almost 430 customers. These faults are expected to be repaired by 5.30pm this evening.
One fault remains that is causing power outages to customers in the Deerpark area, north of Carrick on Suir – 85 customers will not have their power restored until approximately 8pm tonight.

Earlier today power outages were reported in Tipperary Town, Kilross, and customers near Holycross.
The public are advised not to touch or go near damaged power lines or transformers. The advice is to contact ESB Networks as soon as possible on 1 800 372 999.
