Motorists are being reminded to be cautious on the roads this morning following reports of localised flooding in Co. Tipperary.
That’s the message from Tipperary Fire and Rescue Service following heavy downpours overnight.
Tipperary County Council staff are working to resolve flooding on the road between Fethard and Cashel and Clonmel Garda advise to avoid the route if possible for now.
Flooding on roads in the Ballingarry area has also been reported by Garda in Thurles.
The N24 between Cahir and Clonmel has significant water in the Barne area and while it is not blocked,
Gardaí in Clonmel say care is needed, and care is also required on the section of N24 between Clonmel and Kilsheelan.
The road between Freshford and Urlingford in county Kilkenny is impassable at present due to the heavy rain.
The R692 Fethard to Cloneen Road is flooded and impassable.
The R671 road at Ballymacarbery is blocked and impassable due to flooding:
Drivers are also reminded that road works are to start at the Knockagh roundabout today located on the Clonmel side of Cahir.
A Status Orange warning for rain and thunderstorms has been lifted.
