Tipperary Search and Rescue has confirmed that the man missing in the Nenagh area has been located safe and well.
Tipperary Search and Rescue has thanked everyone for their support and assistance.
83-year-old Jim Carey, went missing from his home in Newtown, Co. Tipperary yesterday morning.
His car had been found in an area between Newtown and Portroe.
Mr Carey has since been airlifted to University Hospital Limerick. It is understood that this is a precautionary measure.
A multi-agency search began yesterday with significant resources including Tipperary Search and Rescue teams, Rescue 115 Helicopter, Garda and SARDA dog units, Killaloe Coast Guard Unit, Tipperary Civil Defence, local Garda Siochana, Burgess GAA Club, members of the community, family and friends.
