As the roll out of super-fast fibre to homes continues by eir, the company is launching a major recruitment campaign for apprentices.
The company has now delivered its super fast fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) to more than 56% of homes and businesses on its planned fibre rollout across Tipperary. On completion this FTTH network will be available to 59,000 premises in Tipperary and 84% or 1.9million homes and businesses in the country, meaning Ireland is on the way to becoming one of the most fibre connected countries in the world.
Applications to the apprenticeship programme are welcome from candidates from within and outside Ireland, and successful candidates will be placed in the southwest, southeast and Dublin regions of Ireland. 40 apprenticeships are available. Future open eir apprentice technicians will benefit from a full college experience studying for a Higher Certificate in Engineering in Telecommunications and Data Networks [(Level 6)].
The application process for the eir Apprentice Programme will close at midnight on the 28th of October 2022. Following the successful completion of the two year programme, top applicants will be offered full-time roles with open eir.
